Mason and Aspen :Today we worked on writing 13 sentences to describe the animals. We tried this last week but many had problems. So I went over it again. A few examples are as follows:

La oveja tiene unos pies rosados.
Following the format of DEFINITE ARTICLE + NOUN + VERB (tiene) + INDEFINITE ARTICLE+ NOUN + ADJECTIVE. Make sure that the article and adjective that goes with the particular noun matches it in gender (m or f) AND plurality (singular or plural).
Lexi: I left an assignment for you in the black tray in the back of Mrs. Wolbach's room. It is the ES (is) sentences and I just need you to write out the corrected sentences on a separate piece of paper.

Today we worked on writing out corrections for two assignments we did last week. One assignment was the phrases we wrote for the animals describing one body part for each animal. The other was the sentences using (ES) to describe animals. For both assignments we needed to concentrate on having the article (either definite or indefinite), the noun and the adjective match in gender and plurality.
Mrs. Judy will be handing back a paper tomorrow for the following students to work on writing out the corrections for the phrases describing the animals.

For the in-class assignment that we did today, I received 2 with no names and 11 with names on them. So it appears that 7 students did not turn in their work.

For Joelle who was absent, the in-class assignment was to write one sentence for each animal that we have studied. On a separate notebook paper write out 24 sentences like the following examples, using ES (is).
